Over the past two decades the need for improving the productivity and professionalism of staff working in the hospitality industry has become critical. These comprehensive programs are targeted to the African hospitality industry's specific needs. These have been exceptionally well received in Botswana , Chile , Lesotho , Malawi , Mauritius , Mozambique , Namibia , the Seychelles , Swaziland , Zambia , Zimbabwe and South Africa.

The program development and production were done in South Africa . The videos are designed for training to be used by managers and supervisors in the departments where staff work.

The programs are modular, which allows for training to take place over a period of time. Specific skills can easily be highlighted and refresher courses can be readily conducted. Training can also take place at times suitable to both management and staff.

The methodology of the videos is a step-by-step demonstration and explanation of tasks, which are then reinforced in the employee manuals. No training jargon is used - the language is clear and straightforward. No humour is used and the programmes never show the 'wrong' way to perform a task before showing the 'right' way. Only the correct method is demonstrated. Each task is motivated and the manuals follow the videos closely. Space is provided to highlight individual departmental standards.

The systematic method of training, combined with the audio visual material ensures that an exceptionally high level of recall and comprehension is achieved and maintained.
